Motorcycles rock, I want to ride them, I’m going to get my motorbike license!

Just thought you’d like to know.

Interesting. A year to the day after I was almost killed by a blind twat in a car whilst riding my bike and you’re going back to the idea of riding one. Be careful out there.

Yes – and the world is populated by blind twats – they find it difficult if not impossible to see a bike, they think four wheels are superior to two.

Blind twats are, I will admit, an occupational hazard of the motorcyclist. I intend to ride responsibly and with awareness, I understand the risks and am worried by them.

Ordinarily of course I will be breaking the sound barrier, popping wheelies, riding with no hands and standing on the saddle.

    Joking.

You are missing the point – nobody is doubting your competence – its the other road users who cause the trouble!

I did my bike test 5 years ago. I haven’t been on one since.

That’s only because there’s no glove box on a motorbike, so there’s nowhere to put your cheese, bread and cans of John Smith’s!

    Woohoo! There, some enthusiasm.

Blind twats are indeed an occupational hazard of motorcyclists – as much as they are for any road/footpath user.

What has spurred this thought forward?
